Founded by Sydney Leemhuis in 2022, our team has since grown into a collective of freelance digital media specialists. Working with an agile team, we’re able to keep things cost-effective while still delivering top-tier, polished results.

How It Started
Sydney earned her degree in Journalism and Media Communications from Colorado State University where she studied documentary storytelling.
She continued her education through Semester at Sea where she was able to put these skills into action out in the world. During her voyage she studied globalization, cultural anthropology & philosophy in the West through the lens of travel writing & media communication.
After completing her degree, Sydney started her career in media marketing for startups. Working on these small teams, she learned firsthand how essential & overwhelming digital marketing can be.
She saw a gap in the market — the need for an all-in-one, strategy-first approach to digital branding.
So, she built it.
And Squid’s Ink was born.
